The Joys of Friendship

So the purple in my hair did turn out good, although now it has faded to more of a blue color. Nothing really new to blog about since last week. However, I do want to thank +Julia Veit  for driving to Pensacola to see me. I have not posted a lot of pictures from the last few weeks, so I am dedicating this post to do so. A little late

Ok so I know this blog is way overdue, and I apologize for that. It is so crazy how life can take us by surprise. These past few weeks have been filled to the max. Over two weeks ago I took a trip to Miami to say goodbye to my great grandfather. He has joined his wife in Heaven now, and I can only imagine how happy they are walking with God. This past weekend I went to Missouri and visited my dad's side of the family and celebrated my nephew's graduation. Thankfully, we avoided the tornados and flash floods that occurred around us during the trip. It probably helped that we stayed in a cabin by the river and did not have access to a t.v. to see how severe the weather really was. The weather even became nice enough for a few hours to tour Meramec Caverns and go zip lining!

In between the two trips, I have spent some much needed time visiting with friends and the beach. I even got to see Alanna and her precious new baby. Also I would like to give a shout out to Lana who drove to Pensacola to come stay with me and taught me what snapchat was while she was here! :)

I cannot be more thankful for the gift of companionship with friends and family. Within the craziness of these past two weeks, Pep and I broke up and another season has came to an end in my life. However, God promised in Psalm 34:18 that He is "close to the brokenhearted." He definitely has not disappointed me in this promise, and I know now what people mean when they say "only God can provide a peace that passes all understanding." As I start a new season in my life, I am filled with joy to see what God is going to do. He is such a great mastermind, and I can only imagine what picture he is painting for my life. By the way my prayers are going out to the Camp Victory staff. I wish I was there with y'all! :) Ok well I have to go wash purple hair dye out of my hair. If it dries right, I'll post a picture in my next blog post.
